Just checking the weather for the job list ahead for this week and as I predicted a few weeks ago…
It’s about to turn cold again, so the recent mild and sunny weather may have convinced some people to start putting out tender plants or other frost and cold sensitive stock.
The forecast locally has Sleet and zero degree nights forecast this week.
So just be aware and anything you thought you might get away with getting out in the warmer and sunnier days now they are getting longer; you may need to do some emergency covering or frost protecting your tender plants and certainly if you are attempting to get seeds going.
If you have a Polytunnel, greenhouse or are using hot boxes, ensure they are set up properly and have the insulation they will need and are battened down for the cold spell incoming!
